Futures Week Ahead, 26–30 October 2026: Fed rate decision, PCE inflation, GDP

The Fed's rate decision on Wednesday, third-quarter GDP and September's PCE inflation on Thursday, and November natural gas and October gold expiring on Wednesday.

The Fed's two-day meeting ends on Wednesday 28 October, with the statement at 2:00 p.m. ET and the chair's press conference at 2:30: evening in Europe, the early hours of Thursday in Asia. It is not a projections meeting; the next dot plot comes with the December meeting.

On Thursday 29 October at 8:30 a.m. ET the BEA publishes the advance estimate of third-quarter GDP and September's personal income and outlays, which carries the PCE inflation measure.

Wednesday 28 October is also the last trading day for November natural gas (NGX6) and October gold (GCV6).

Europe's clocks went back on Sunday 25 October and the US clocks go back on Sunday 1 November, so for this one week London is four hours ahead of New York instead of five. Just past Friday: October's jobs report on Friday 6 November.
