Futures Calendar Recap, 15–19 June 2026: Fed rate decision
The Fed's decision with new projections on Wednesday, June equity index futures expiring on Thursday, and Juneteenth on Friday.
The Fed's meeting ended on Wednesday 17 June with the statement at 2:00 p.m. ET, the press conference at 2:30, and the quarterly Summary of Economic Projections, the dot plot.
The June equity index futures (ES, NQ, YM and RTY; ESM6 for the S&P 500) stopped trading on Thursday 18 June instead of the third Friday, because Friday 19 June was Juneteenth. S&P Dow Jones Indices' quarterly rebalance took effect before the open on Monday 22 June, so it traded at Thursday's close.
On Juneteenth the NYSE was closed and the equity index futures halted early, at 12:00 p.m. CT (1:00 p.m. ET), with no settlement that day. The EIA's reports were not moved: they kept Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. ET.
