The weeks the gap changes
The US moves its clocks on the second Sunday of March and the first Sunday of November. The UAE does not change its clocks, so the gap moves only when the US does.
- From 1 Nov 2026 to 13 Mar 2027, Dubai is 9 hours ahead of New York: the US open lands at 18:30 instead of 17:30.

How futures gains are taxed
The UAE has no personal income tax, and an individual's personal investment activity that needs no licence is not a taxable business for corporate tax.

- CME Globex opens for the week at 6:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, which is Monday 02:00 in Dubai until 31 Oct 2026. From then it trades around the clock until Friday, with a one-hour halt every weekday from 5:00 p.m. ET (01:00 (next day) in Dubai).
- What time does the US stock market open in Dubai time?
- The New York cash session opens at 9:30 a.m. ET, 17:30 in Dubai until 31 Oct 2026, and closes at 4:00 p.m. ET (00:00 (next day)). The index futures trade before and after it, but their heaviest volume sits inside it. Most US economic data lands an hour earlier, at 8:30 a.m. ET (16:30).
- When does the time difference between Dubai and New York change?
